Third year is done.
I don't think that's how anyone would have wanted the year to end, but there you go.
It's a particular shame, because it was easily the best term we've had at uni. Finally, we were getting to write and direct, and our lecturers had actually organised useful talks, classes and opportunities for us. David, leading the work related learning module, was very helpful and seemed to genuinely care. Paul, leading Copyright, was a harsh marker, but a good teacher. And Andrew seems to have a passion for filmmaking and a genuine desire to see us make good films.
It's a real shame that we didn't get to make our films, because I, and my whole team, had put a lot of work into it and that will never see the light of day or be fully appreciated. There is so much I have to say about the film, that isn't recorded here, because how could I record everything?
I learned a lot from my experiences on Radio Underground. Shut down just before the shoot, it's the furthest along I had ever been in a film that was cancelled and that was a big knock. I guess I'll just need to build on those experiences next time. Every experience is a valuable one as long as you learn from it. I'll carry my knowledge gained from Radio Underground with me on into the future into my next project.
