Day 1 was very long, so fortunately Day 2 had a bit more of a relaxed start. We had to get several inserts and things from throughout the film, including the low angle shot from the river scene. It was fairly simple stuff.
For this low angle shot, I got Rhys to stand on a table so that we could get the camera as low as possible. It was quite fun. I think people enjoyed this, because it was quite unusual stylised filmmaking, even if it was born out of the necessity of being unable to use the guns at the trout fishery.
That afternoon we shot the montage. Again, Aaron's slow setup time played havoc. Not only did we had to cut shots, but we didn't have time to experiment like I'd planned. I wanted to play around with filters etc and find new shots, but this simply wasn't possible.
