Structure

I was unsure about the structure of the film. I thought it was affecting the film's pacing. So I decided to rework the film's structure. Firstly, I broke the film down scene by scene in order to see how it stood. I didn't actually think the content of the film was an issue, just the pacing.

So drew a timeline for the film and slotted the events of the film onto it. This way I knew how long I actually had to spend on each part. I think this was an incredibly useful activity, because not only did it allow me to gain a deeper understanding of the film's internal structures, it allowed me to improve the structure itself. I actually fitted the film into a three act structure, and I really think it benefitted as a result.
